an association of smaller workers’ compensation
practitioners. The objective of the Forum is to provide
alternative viewpoints to the Ohio BWC, instead of the
“big five” TPAs.
Think
of a Sneeze
When Bonnie was looking for a name for the business,
she thought it would be clever to combine “actuarial”
with “compensation”. Actuarial refers to
setting premium rates, and “comp” is what
TPAs and
attorneys call workers’ comp. Plus, it’s
first in the phone directory. But she quickly found
out that just looking at it, no one knows how to pronounce
it. So, think of a sneeze: ACK-choo-comp.
